Publisher Ronsdale Press submitted my Young Adult novel to the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards for 2017. Happily, it won Silver in the General YA Fiction category. No big prize money, but nice recognition. And more readers south of the border may find it now, as this is a U.S. based organization.
The Moonbeam Awards were launched in 2007 to recognize exemplary children’s books and their creators. To quote, “Creating books that inspire our children to read, to learn and to dream is an extremely important task… each year’s entries are judged by expert panels of youth educators, librarians, booksellers and book reviewers of all ages.”
